Filming celebrations of Vietnam’s reunification 50 years after the war
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, the Foreign Press Center was honored to welcome and guide the press for many international press delegations to report on this great event of the country and the world. Among them, I was able to coordinate with my colleagues at the Press Center for 03 delegations: VRT NWS, Belgium; Sky News, UK; and ABC News, Australia.
For the success of the reports, I would like to sincerely thank:
- All officers at the Foreign Press Center
- Central and Ho Chi Minh City Foreign Security
- Central and Ho Chi Minh City Association of Victims of Dioxin
- War Remnants Museum
- Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site
- DONY Garment Company
- Economic Expert Huynh Thanh Dien
And many other groups and individuals who helped us! While preparing for 3 delegations at the same time, mistakes were inevitable, we hope everyone will sympathize.
Through the difficulties of the project (preparation time was quite urgent, a lot of information needed to be processed; reporters had a long Easter break; Ho Chi Minh City often had road closures and traffic jams due to the holiday), there were also interesting experiences:
- being able to attend a part of the parade,
- visiting the families of Agent Orange victims and realizing how lucky I was.
- In addition, after listening to the sharing and interview of Mr. Quang Anh – director of DONY company, and economic expert Huynh Thanh Dien, it helped me feel more confident about the future of the country, despite the possibility of the US imposing a 46% reciprocal tax on Vietnamese goods.
